Arrayent

Arrayent is a software company that sells a turnkey communication system that connects everyday products to the Internet.

Already, Arrayent’s Internet-Connect System™ connects over 100,000 big brand owner’s products to web applications hosted in the cloud. Example applications include enabling consumers to monitor and control their thermostats, smart energy strips, smart irrigation controllers from their smartphones and PCs, and to automatically download stories, music and play actions to smart toys and games.  Customers have called Arrayent “the Cisco of small things.”

Arrayent is founded on the principle that consumer products are things that simply work right out of the box at low cost. A thermostat need not be turned into an expensive PC so that it can be connected to a smartphone.  Arrayent also knows that consumers are loath to pay subscription fees to receive weather data, or open doors from the Internet.  To ensure the lowest product cost, Arrayent’s product has been architected so that expensive processing tasks are performed on the Arrayent Server in the cloud so end-points can use low cost 8-bit microprocessors.  Our product has implemented a modern switch-like server architecture that is low cost to build and maintain, which eliminates the need for brand owners to charge their customers annual connection fees.  And Arrayent enabled products are very easy to install so that retailers do not experience excessive return rates.
