BELLINGHAM HARBOUR ·WA

DESCRIPTION
Conceptual planning/ framework design for redevelopment of 137 acre Bellingham Harbour.

DETAILS
Working with the local community Design Workshop set out to influence the future for this vital piece of property located directly adjacent to downtown Bellingham. A former paper mill, this site had experienced a long history of pollution rendering the entire waterfront off limits to the local population, addressing the environmental issues became the cornerstone of our design proposal. The second major issue was Bellingham's Economics and how we can use this property as a catalyst for the city and their future growth in the knowledge economy.

METROPOLITAN GARDENS · Denver, CO

DESCRIPTION
Former Gates rubber factory redevelopment.

DETAILS
Design Workshop working with Joseph Freed and Associates are helping to redevelop this 50-acre mixed-use, transit-oriented urban village. Helping to stitch together adjacent neighborhoods that have been separated by an industrial swath for 90 years. Vibrant public spaces serve as a framework for this development, as the site acts as a connector for the cities infastructure, bridging railroads for pedestrians and bicyclists and connecting them to a regional trail system.

On-site light-rail transit connections to downtown and to the Denver Tech Center will serve 4,000 residential units, two million square feet of office space and 250,000 square feet of retail space. My roles on the project inlcluded assisting in the development of overall massing/retail scheme for the development. Conceptual design/ research framework of the plaza, park and street designs.
