Nest is looking for an enthusiastic engineer to help us all save energy! This person will be an individual contributor working with a top notch engineering team to develop our future products. The individual will be responsible for the research, design, implementation and integration of sensor subsystems for battery-powered consumer electronics. Sensor systems that will be supported include temperature, ambient light, human presence, and various other environmental sensors.

Required Experience:
* BS/MS or equivalent in Electical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
* Must have great Engineering fundamentals
* 5+ years overall experience in industry
* Experience designing various environmental sensor systems (temperature, ambient light, human presence detection, etc)
* Automated sensor test development for research & validation (LabView or similar)
* A history of prototyping and validating circuits and products in the lab

Job duties:
sensor sub-system design & research
sensor vendor & component selection
electro-mechanical prototype bring-up and debug
functional verification & characterization
test development for manufacturing
