The Samsung Smart Window, currently in prototype phase and demonstrated at this year's CES features Virtual Blinds, a full touch TFT (thin-film transistor) LCD display and is said to require only 10% of normal power consumption due to being partially powered by the sun.
A few other notes:
- Privacy feature enables only one way viewing
- Won a CES 2012 award for innovation
- Supposedly is penciled in for production in Q4 of this year
Corning windows put together a speculative video titled "A Day Made of Glass." that should give you more fodder for what a world filled with these type of displays might look like.
