Wi-Fi Plant Sensor: Koubachi

Swiss startup Koubachi is following up on the trail laid by Botanicalls and other DIY projects in letting you track and receive notifications from your indoor and outdoor plants when they are in need of watering or additional fertilizer.

Their first product is available now (Online Store €91.60) and takes in more than just your basic moisture level measurements by first checking for your plant's optimal growing conditions with information from their "Plant Cyclopedia" and giving you specific care instructions based on the individual species, and the season and climate zone you’re located in.

The Koubachi sensors track moisture levels, fertilizer conditions, as well as current temperature, light, and humidity levels for each plant. This data is then sent to your account's cloud service where you can track the plant's water usage history over time, have it calculate ideal water schedules for your specific plant, and also set up notifications for your Iphone or inbox when conditions change.
