Fitbit, the makers of the popular wireless fitness tracking device announced the release of Aria, their 'Wi-Fi smart scale' at CES this week.
The online system and scale can remember up to eight different people, allows you to invite people to see your stats and monitor your fitness and weight goals over time (Earn badges for reaching weight loss goals).
- Using charting tools and their Iphone app you can track your weight, BMI, and % body fat online.

Weight and BMI:
- Four load cells measure weight.
- BMI is calculated and displayed based on weight.
Body composition:
- The scale measures body mass using bioimpedance analysis.
- ITO electrodes form a pattern on the top of the scale, and send a small, safe signal through the body to measure impedance.
